Further information: List of All Bitizens

Each business has 3 positions at which to employ Bitizens. As each opening is filled, a new item or service will be available to stock. Beyond this simple function, however, Bitizens each have individual skills that make their employment at some places particularly valuable. Especially in business dealing with very high stock, the differences in employing an ideal Bitizen and an average Bitizen can be overwhelming.

Discounts

Each Bitizen has a certain proficiency with each business category (Food, Service, Recreation, Retail, Creative) ranging from 0 to 9. Based on the skills of the employed Bitizen, a discount will be applied to the cost of restocking the items or services for that business. The discount is equal to the sum of each employee's skill level. The maximum discount is therefore 27%, the profits of which can certainly add up for high cost floors.

Dream Jobs

Dream Job

Each Bitizen has a Dream Job — their ideal working environment. Dream Job information can be found at the top of each bitizen's information window in the game and is also listed in the menu's Bitizen page. Placing a bitizen into their Dream Job has serious strategic benefits. Dream jobs are independent of the discount received.

Dream Jobs Per Floor

First of all, it needs to be understood that as your tower gets bigger, there will be more dream jobs than openings. The best strategy for handling this is putting bizitens with the highest skill level in their dream jobs. This is especially important in floors that produce more stock. With this method, you will get more out of your high value stores. Or, you could evict the extra bizitens and hope that the next ones to move in will have dream jobs that are open.

Tower Bux

Placing a bitizen in their Dream Job will grant the player 2 Tower Bux, as a reward. The player can get this reward only once for each bitizen, even if they move the bitizen to a non-dream job and back, or if they demolish and re-construct the same floor type.

Happy Face

Placing a bitizen in their Dream Job is the only way to get the green happy face status for your bitizen.

Double Stock

Placing a Bitizen in their Dream Job will double the quantity of stock of an item/service for no increase in the stocking price or stocking time. With each additional Bitizen in his or her dream job, an additional item of the stock will be eligible for the bonus. It should go without saying, but a double stock is especially valuable: The more stock, the longer the floor can stay open, which means less sales downtime during breaks in play.

  • 1 Dream Job employee will double the 1 Coin value stock
  • 2 Dream Job employees will double both the 1 Coin and 2 Coin value stocks
  • 3 Dream Job employees will double all stocks

Advanced Strategy: Cycling Employees

It's true that the Bitizens need to be present for the entire duration of the stocking process, but they mysteriously need not be there to sell stock. Therefore, it's possible to house fewer Bitizens than necessary to fully employ each floor.

  1. Fully employ Floor 1.
  2. Fully stock Floor 1.
  3. Move all Employees to Floor 2.
  4. Fully stock Floor 2.

Or for a more involved but faster acting process:

  1. Fully employ Floor 1.
  2. Stock Floor 1, Item 3.
  3. Move Employee 1 to Floor 2.
  4. Stock Floor 1, Item 2.
  5. Stock Floor 2, Item 1.
  6. Move Employee 2 to Floor 2.
  7. Stock Floor 1, Item 1.
  8. Stock Floor 2, Item 2.
  9. Move Employee 3 to Floor 2.
  10. Stock Floor 2, Item 3.

Due to category-specific discounts, it would be best to have a set of Bitizens for each floor category.
