Gameplay
This section is for ideas related to the way the game functions, from construction to VIPs.
Construction
Floor Type after Construction
It makes more sense logically and would prevent waiting for full apartments if the user were able to fully construct the floor before choosing the floor type, as opposed to the way it is now where the user must know who will work in the floor before making the choice of floor type.
As a related point: I have now created all available floors. I decided to create empty floors so that when more are available they would be ready to go, but the timer won't start until the floor type is determined. So, I have floor 162 sitting there, for example, which will take 80.5 hours to build, but those hours won't start until I decide that the floor is a residence (or whatever). But I can't do that until the game has created those floors. Meanwhile, the elevator can go to those floors. Kevin_23456
Store Select
Add the ability to pay bucks to select the store you want. You would build the type of floor you want (Residential, Creative, Service, Etc.) but by paying a certain amount of bucks you could choose to build the store you want. Example: I build a Restaurant floor, I pay 5 extra bucks and select the Pub as my specific store.
However, this may reduce the level of excitement when anticipating for a random type of floor to show up.
Pay by Bux
Add the ability to pay bucks for additional mystery floors. The mechanic will be exactly the same as paying by coins - players can only choose the category, not specific business, and have to wait for construction as usual. Example: Pay 20 bucks for floor 20, pay 50 bucks for floor 50 etc.
This should encourage purchase of bux as well as offer robust players a faster way to build up.
Multiple Towers
I want to own more than one tower in my city. Towers could be completely independent, or residents and demand could be spread across my city. If the latter, I would probably have a tower for each business type and a residential tower, because I am way too OCD. Reventon21 - Dolyasergey
Elevator
Elevator Skill
Give a higher chance of a tip if you stop the elevator dead on. PhelineCat
Multiple Elevator
You can earn more money by having more than one elevator paying 10,000,000 coins for a new elevator and you can upgrade that elevator aswell as the one that is provided with the tower!
Autopilot elevator
I would like an elevator with autopilot. You would still have to click the elevator when there are visitors in the lobby, but the elevator would navigate automatically to the correct floor. The "view" (screen) would follow the elevator up. This would help with the cumbersome navigation of the faster elevators, and still require the player to pay attention. For VIPs you would still have to navigate manually.

Numeral Elevator
An Elevator that you type in the number of the floor, called the ProtoType 3000.
Slingshot Elevator
This may sound a little crazy, but imagine you have an elevator that works like a pinball plunger. You pull down the plunger, release, and get a boost up the tower. This makes the repetetive trips up the tower a little bit more fun and gets your bitizens up the tower faster.
Upgradeable Elevator
I think you should be able to have a elevator that can fit maybe 5 people in it. But you upgrade the elevator allowing more people in the elevator at once and I like the autopilot idea both of those ideas put together would be very good. Also you would be able to control the elevator if necessary.
I like the idea of a multiple person elevator but i think that when it holds more people at once, the people should be able to go to diffrent floors.
Teleporter Elevator
All you have to do is tap the elevator and it sends the person to the floor they wish to go to and automatically gives money, and you only need to guide the teleporter when you have a VIP. And I think that the up gradable elevator is a great idea along with the teleporter because you can gain alot of money instantly.
Gaining time by playing
When a bitizen get out of the elevator, if the floor is currently stocking, it reduces the time for stocking by one minute. The more you play, the more time you gain...
- — DuPrintemps, Mdnghtblue, Daveguy, Shloogorgh, LadyExLibris, [[user:PhelineCat][
I like this idea. Same things should be for construction, only 5-10 minutes because construction is much longer than stocking.
- — Sundae, Shloogorgh
Having customers help with restocking doesn't make logical sense, though I'd love it. It makes more sense to have the customer buy 5 items instead. The customers definitely need to have some kind of impact to the floor rather than just random tips.
Adjustable Speed
Give it a speedo and gear lever, and I'll take it. --Tantusar 18:54, 6 January 2012 (PST), Bob123412
Stocking
Logical Employment
When you stock a floor, you can't fire anyone from that floor. This indicates that all employees help with restocking. It should logically follow that when there are more employees at a floor, restocking should go quicker. Alternatively, if I restock "item 1", I should be allowed to fire employee 2 and 3.
Out of Stock Alert
Have an alert when an item goes out of stock and the floor is not currently stocking. This will help avoid idle time, and behaves like the alert you get when the entire floor is out of stock [!]
- — DrixFalgor, phr0ze, Smellinglikesophie, buklau, Bob123412, LadyExLibris, bmcortez, katiepillar131, Kevin 23456, Gdolla3,
^^^ please do this????
Stocking Timers
The actual amount of time left for stocking/construction should be expressed in a DD:HH:MM:SS format, maybe even with larger numerals once one checks on a particular floor, replacing the (in my opinion) nigh-useless progress meter.
- — JosephLillo, ploben DomoDomo
Employee Trade
Say you get a new Bitizen, and you want to put them in a particular job. But that store already has 3 employees, so you have to remove one first. And the store is in the middle of stocking some item that's taking like 6 hours, so you can't remove any of the employees. It would be great to be able to "trade" the new employee for the old one, so you still have all 3 employees needed for stocking, but you don't have to wait for the stocking of that particular item to finish.
Credit remaining stock to mission completion
If we start a mission and already have one or both of the required items in stock, we should be given the option to immediately credit the remaining stock to the mission rather than forcing us to wait or pay bux for it to sell out. Some high level items can take a day or longer to sell out, adding significant time to mission completion.
- — kingbobs
Mass Stocking
Often an entire floor will sell out. I'd like to be able to stock all of it (and possibly hurry production and stocking) with one button, instead of one per product. It would save time, especially in the morning when several floors have all sold out overnight. The "hurry" feature could look at the total time required, and group them together, instead of treating each product individually. For example, the three products in my level 3 "frozen yogurt" store take 15, 25 and 40 minutes to produce and stock. If I want to hurry them into stock, it costs me 3 bux; if not, I have to watch each one individually. The total time is only 80 minutes, which would only cost 2 bux to hurry into production, or if I chose to let the time elapse, I would only have to wait 80 minutes, and not lose time between items. Even better would be a "super-restock" button that would start at the bottom of the tower, and stock all products currently out, possibly also hurrying each one, and stopping when you run out of any of bux, coins or floors. Kevin_23456
Recruitment
I have a full tower, and I am struggling to get the last few dream jobs. I have so far spend 150 tower bux trying to get one employee for one shop. Estate agents are too rare (and too random), and waiting for elevator riders with a) the right skills and b) a destination of my single floor with residential spaces will take forever. What I'd like to propose is this: When you click the 'hire button' in a shop you get a) the current choice of an existing tower resident, or b) the option to recruit an employee (assuming that there is residential space for them). When you recruit, you get a list of bitizens with skills suited to the job - the better their skill, the more tower bux you pay to get them.
VIPs
Scaling VIPs
Unfortunately, the Big Spender is the only VIP that truly scales with the progress of the game, since his maximum worth is determined by the highest value floor the player has (which is likely to be higher further on in the game). Sure, 3 hours off of anything or some free Bitizens or coins is always good, but comparatively worthless once the player is looking at 100 floors rather than 20. Whether the VIPs were upgradeable by a Tower Bux fee or if they scale automatically based on the number of floors (which makes thematic sense — a taller building with more things in it is more attractive than a smaller one), greater bonuses would make the once-significant VIP relevant again for the power player.
| VIP | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction Worker | Progresses 3 hours of construction. | Progresses 6 hours of construction. | Progresses 12 hours of construction. |
| Delivery Man | Progresses 3 hours of stocking. | Progresses 6 hours of stocking. | Progresses 12 hours of stocking. |
| Celebrity | Brings a crowd of 50 Bitizens. | Brings a crowd of 100 Bitizens. | Brings a crowd of 150 Bitizens. |
| Big Spender | Buys all of the 1-coin, 2-coin or 3-coin stock. | Buys all of the 2-coin or 3-coin stock or stock with the second-most or most or remaining value. | Buys all of the 3-coin stock or stock with the most remaining value. |
| Real Estate Agent | Moves in poor, average, or ideal job Bitizens. (See Discounts) | Moves in average or ideal Bitizens. (See Discounts) | Moves in ideal Bitizens. (See Discounts) |

I think I'm in for a "percentage of total" change. Celebrity buys 20% of your total stock. Delivery man shortens stock time by 40% of total time or 3 hours, whichever is greater. Construction worker shortens construction time by 20% of total time or 3 hours, whichever is greater. --LpAngelRob
Trade in VIPs
If you could trade in VIPs that you don't need for Tower Bux or Coins, that would be great. I hate wasting those guys.
VIP Sharing
My four friends and I were sitting around playing Tiny Tower together, when I got a Real Estate Agent, my friend was like "Oh man I could really use that!" A couple of minutes later he gets a Construction Worker and I really needed one of those. So we were thinking if there could be a feature added that let you send a VIP to a friend if you don't need it, because it seems really pointless when you waste them or hold them in the elevator for a long time just to be able to use them.
- — Rockbottomm, AshleeG97, Ultraspruce, Adesinacat, Brynnis, Asynchronism, ColonelKR
Skill Improving VIPs
There should be a VIP that comes to your tower, and can be used to focus on one bitizen and one of their skills. Once used, the chosen bitizen's skill will max out in the skill chosen. This would greatly help to improve the bitizens with low overall stats, and can be useful for increasing stock discounts.
Kevin_23456: I'd call this one a "trainer", but allow him to train all bitizens currently in a particular business, increasing the skills of all non-9 employees by 1, and maybe by 2 if it's the employee's dream job
Also, there can be specific VIPs that only max one skill, and then a special ( but rarer ) VIP that will max out all skills in a Bitizen. For example:
- Food → Chef
- Service → Businessperson
- Recreation → Entertainer
- Retail → Salesperson
- Creative → Artisan
- All → Perfectionist
Reserve VIPs
If you got a VIP you weren't ready to use (say a construction worker, but nothing currently is under construction), you could stow them away in a special VIP reserve. You could only stow away one VIP at a time, and it would free up the elevator to allow bitizens (and potentially more VIPs) while you wait for this VIP to be useful. Then when the time comes, you can select the reserve VIP, freeing up the reserve slot to store another VIP if you want. Or you could put them in the lobby until they are needed.
Or how about this: it would cost 5 Tower Bux to buy a VIP room able to store 1 VIP. At a cost of 3 Tower Bux, it could be upgraded to hold more VIPs at once. Also at first each VIP would be held for 5 hours. At a cost of maybe 3 more Tower Bux, it could be upgraded to 10 hours, and so on. -Reventon21
Elaborating on this topic, it seems like the lobby doesn't really have a use at this point in the game. Maybe, when a VIP comes to your tower, you could pay a couple of Tower Bux for them to stay in your lobby, and then you could use them when you want. There would also be a limit to the amount of reserved VIPs, much like how there can be only 5 bitizens in a residential floor and 3 bitizens in a commercial floor. Perhaps the limit would be 5 or 10.
I think there should be a lobby attendant. depending on the level of your tower, or the lobby attendants level, you can hold a certain amount of VIP/guests. This storing system would also hold any vistor to stop by while the player is away. Leveling the attendant could be paid for in coins or bux, but I think it would be more fun to have quests, eventhough increased lobby capacity due to building expansion is the most logical.
Improve the Real Estate Agent
Make the real estate agent a little smarter. Make him/her detect if you already have 3 of any particular dream job and put bitizens into empty floors which match vacancies. For example, I already have 3 Frozen Yogurt bitizens, 3 Cake Studio bitizens, and only 1 Planetarium bitizen. Those of whom I have 3 are all skill level 9, so I don't need to replace them with better bitizens; therefore, I don't need the real estate agent to go to waste moving 2 Cake Studio people and 2-3 Frozen Yogurt people in my vacant floor. That's a waste of the VIP and later a waste of bux with me evicting all of them and having to manually force people into the floor instead. Instead, the VIP should put in people you have 0-2 of already and bypass the dream jobs your tower already has 3 of (if you need to upgrade a dream job bitizen with a bad skill level, you can do so with tower bux; this is just to get the most out of the real estate agent VIP). I've needed BBQ Place people ever since the floor was implemented, and I haven't seen a single one yet. My agent keeps giving me dream jobs I don't need. He/she needs to get just a little smarter.
Super Real Estate Agent
On a similar note to the above idea of improving the Real Estate Agent, here is an alternative way to improve this VIP. Whenever a VIP is taken to a residential floor with empty rooms, that VIP gives you an option: quality or quantity. Either the VIP fills all the empty spots like normal, or the VIP simply moves in one bitizen, but that bitizen has a dream job for a floor that you don't yet have 3 stars in and has a 9 in the requisite skill. This will make this VIP much more useful once you get further in the game and have those select few dream jobs you just can't seem to fill.
More VIPs
Add a few more VIPs. For example: An investor: they will upgrade/expand/level up any floor they visit. A supplier: Will reduce the cost of the stock on any unstocked floor it visits. Or any other ideas that people could expand on. Further ideas (getting a bit weirder but just suggestions) ... A queen/prince/royal person who might buy out all stock on all floors below the one they arrive at.
Or maybe: a genius or something that would make one person's dream job the place in which they work. -Reventon21
Bad VIPs
Instead of just having good results from VIP's, you could have some people (not necessarily called VIPs) who will create bad results, but are unknown until delivered to a floor.
- Robber → for example -100 stock.
- Squatter → takes up a position in a apartment for a time without being employable or paying rent.
- - Sayahbfa "Fantastic idea! I hope this gets accepted!"
ChinamanII Maybe the bad VIPs could run around your tower and you would have to tap them to arrest them and get your stock back and a complimentary tower buck
Recruiter
Similar to the "recruitment" section above, this VIP would go a business floor with a vacancy, hire an employee who has that store as their dream job, and place that bitizen in a randomly selected residential floor with available space Kevin_23456
Interface & Interaction Design
This section is for ideas related to the way the interface is laid out or the ways the player interacts with the game.
Interface
Costume Grid View
A grid- rather than row-based view, for easier navigation of the high volume of costumes the game is collecting.
Collapsable Alert Icons
Now that most people playing this have quite a number of floors, the row of icons at the bottom only serve useful for the first few alerts. There is also a strategy of play where people will wait on a tier to sell out before stocking a new tier (foregoing the triple stock bonus). Therefore to make the alerts more functional can they expand and contract based on grouping so you always can see and have access to the elevator alert and waldo alerts. When you wish to sift through the stock or idle alerts then click that icon to expand and then one at a time. Maybe even go so far as to indicate with a tiny number which floor the alert is showing on so you know the difference between them.
The simpler version of this fix would be just to put the waldo quest and the elevator call alert icons to appear at the far left instead of at the right which is usually off screen...
- — Ghosthack, JezaTheWog, Google4it7genius, ColonelKR (PLEASE let this be in the next update!!!), bmcortez
Unhide Stock
Right now there isn't any way to view the remaining stock on your other items (or any info on them at all) while you are currently stocking. Not sure if this is by design, but it makes it hard to make strategic decisions on the Celebrity/Big Spender VIPs among other things.
- — Mdnghtblue, Brynnis, Nerla, DuPrintemps, Twu42, Shloogorgh, Google4it7genius, JezaTheWog, Briddafail, NKfloofiepoof, Brucker, Purrcat303, crystallized, stillxsearching, bmcortez, ColonelKRChinamanII
Bottom Tap Floor
Currently you can press the top of the screen to get to the very top. But I think you could touch the bottom of the screen to get to the bottom of your tower. Right now, I have to watit for the elevator.
Stock Gauge
Have the stock icons in the top left "drain" as stock decreases. They would gradually turn black, from top to bottom, as the stock for the item was bought out.
Zoomed Out Rendering
On an iPad the zoomed out view shows the tower at exact pixel perfect size where the pixel size is 1 You can actually see everything that is happening and going on. Can the zoomed out display on a iPhone4 replicate this same treatment? Currently the view is aliased (sort of) so you actually can't make out any of the action
Retina Display
I think this issue is simply a lack of retina display (only possible on iPhone 4, iPod 4, Ipad 2 or newer). Though when you load the game it is retina display for the first half-second, it quickly becomes blurry which is annoying. -Reventon21
What did I stock?
Substitute an icon of the item that's ready to be stocked, instead of the current not-very-helpful white open box on beige.
Landscape Mode
Whenever the device is turned sideways, Tiny Tower goes into landscape mode. Three floors would be viewable at a time on the left or right side of the screen, while the other half would give a brief summary of important info, e.g. currently activated mission, the soonest ready stocks, floors w/o maximum occupancy, etc. User:HearSuit
Observation Mode
When enabled, viewport starts to pan up and down your tower after a minute or two of inactivity. Most importantly, the screen never goes to sleep.
Bitizen Line In Lobby
In the lobby, there is a line of bitizens waiting for the elevator in the lobby. VIP's can also be shown so a player can prepare for the VIP and not waste it.
Visiting Friends
If a player visits a friends tower they should recieve 1 bux.
Also, it could be useful to help them, by stocking their floors, but you can't do bad things, like demolish their floors, or evicting Bitizens.--Awesome Austin 05:55, 11 March 2012 (PDT)
If You Love Working There, Work There
If a bitizen has a dream job in where he/she works, he/she should appear working in that business without ever hiding in his/her apartment. However, if he/she doesn't have a dream job there, then he/she can hide in the apartment. This way, bitizens must stop switching between where they work and where they live without the player's knowledge or permission, making "Waldo" missions much easier.
Interaction
Auto Stocking and Auto Restocking
Auto stocking of items that have been restocked. Cost of 100 Tower Bux / month, could cost more. Auto restocking of items provided that you have the Bitizens and the coins for it. There could be also penalty for auto restocking is that you don't get the cost reduction bonus. The priority of stocking is as follows: 1 coin items, 2 coin items, 3 coin items.
Faster Scrolling for iPad
On the iPad version of the game, there is a small black frame which takes up the extra space beyond the doubling of the iPhone resolution. (It's there in Pocket Frogs, too.) Why not make use of it? For instance, in long lists like in Contacts and Music on the iPhone, you can drag down the far right side of the screen to jump down to different letters, that sort of thing. Why not a similar function? Especially on the iPad, where scrolling through the tower is a full hand motion.
Floor "Bookmarks"
It would be a great time saver to have the ability to set tower "bookmarks" at certain floors that would allow you to jump around the tower rather than having to scroll up and down all the time. This becomes quite a chore when you start getting 100+ floors and helps out those who have grouped their floors by category to help with the bitizen searches.
Floor Search
When a new bitizen moves in and they have their dream job in say "Smoothie Shop", I don't always know where about it is in my tower meaning it can take ages to find the floor. The search button would be on the menu and when you put in "S" it would bring up suggestions: "Software Studio, Smoothie Shop" etc. This would then take you straight to the desired floor. This would also be useful when looking for bitizens.
Jump To Floor
In the Bitizen view screen hotlink 3 things:
- Dream Job
- Home
- Employed at: This would jump you straight to that floor.
Linking the bux count to scroll down to the lobby just like you tap top of screen to go to the roof.
- — Ghosthack, Adesinacat
Product Alerts
Adding the option to have pop-up alerts when a product at a commercial floor runs out, so when you re-enter the game there aren't a plethora of 'Empty Floor' boxes at the bottom of your screen.
Sort Bitizens By Their Job Fitness
In Bitizen list, while sorting by their mood (from bad to good), the job fitness of each bitizen could be taken into account. For example, a bitizen working in sushi bar with 6 food proficiency could be listed before another bitizen working in music store with 8 retail proficiency, although both their happiness are neutral. Of course, bitizens working in their dream job always fit the best.
- — timrau
Sort Bitizens By Their Dream Job
In Bitizen list, it would be nice to be able to sort by Dream Job, or at the very least make it so that sorting by Job would sort all the unemployed Bitizens by their Dream Job.
Tools
This section is for ideas related to the options in the main menu or floor or Bitizen panels, such as the Bank (game), Stats, or naming options.
Bank
Investment/Savings
A way to put money away and earn a percentage on your investments(maybe higher percentages could be purchased with Tower Bux). It could be compounded hourly/daily.
Money Exchange
A next level of exchange would be great, e.g. 100 Bux to 500,000 coins. — Asynchronism, PlagueEleven, Shloogorgh, NKfloofiepoof, Pinkpanther_05, Bob123412, LadyExLibris, ColonelKR
Tower Bux Exchange
A method of converting coins to Tower Bux would be greatly appreciated. This would definitely help towards getting the new Infini-Lift Lightspeed lift, which costs 499 Tower Bux. An example exchange rate could be $500,000 for 50 Bux. - Briddafail, Smellinglikesophie, Fog1179, ColonelKR
- - Sayahbfa "If they had this, Mobage and Nimblebits would not have any revenue from TinyTower, thus it would be taken down. Bad idea."
Gifting of Tower Bux
What could be useful is gifting/sharing Tower Bux because plenty of people need Tower Bux whereas other people don't. I have a friend with 2,000 odd Tower Bux and the Infini-Lift Lightspeed but I have about 100 TB and the Ultra-Lift 3000 Extreme - Briddafail ChinamanII I agree but I think that you should have a limit on gifting because tiny tower would go bankrupt :-( for example gift 1 tower buck to each friend every day but only be able to gift 3 friends per day
Tower Stock
Players should be able to trade Tower Stock, much like the modern day stock exchange. Trading of stock could unlock special features (new costumes, clothing etc.), reward bux or allow a random perk per certain amounts of overall trades and total trades per Tiny Tower friend. in example, I have traded 200 total stock and 100 of that was traded with troy (the specific user). In this cinario I would recieve a minor bonus from my trades with troy, and a major bonus for my total trades. A Minor Bonuses could be bux, coins etc. while a Major bonus could be a VIP appearence, a free floor, etc.
Inflation Adjustments
As a tower gets taller and its earning capacity goes up, the value of a coin decreases. The prices of new floors already increase to account for this "inflation" (i.e. first few floors are 2,000 coins, 50th floor is like 400,000, etc). The exchange rate of bux to coins in the Bank should adjust as well. Spending 50 bux on 100K coins is a great deal when you only have a few floors - you can build several floors with that. But once your floors start costing hundreds of thousands of coins, it's not worthwhile to spend 50 bux on 1/4 of a floor, and the bank becomes pretty much useless. stillxsearching, Reventon21, ChinamanII
Bitizens
Uniforms
You should be able to assign a particular store a uniform for the bitizens (maybe have to pay a buck or two to have this opportunity.) This will make finding bitizens much easier, too.
-Bitiplayer, Joshua Chopsticks, naddiblabla
Super Rare Blitzens
A couple highly rare blitzens with ridiculous stats. Example: a 'Bruce Campbell' Blitzen that has 33 retail skill, but a dream job like 'S-MART' that is unattainable. GTBean
Trade Bitizens
The ability to trade bitizens with friends could add a dynamic element to an already great game. It would make it easier to get more dream jobs if you have something your friends would want, or vice versa.
Moving Homes
You can change the home of each bitizen so they live near their workplace and are easier to find.
- — Hahaha00000, Adesinacat, alyssacroacia, Aldesign, Shloogorgh, Google4it7genius, crystallized, Pinkpanther_05, ColonelKR, naddiblabla
Alternatively, to keep with the random nature of much of the game, if you have one or more unoccupied beds, you could have the option of evicting a bitizen from a specific floor, making them relocate randomly. (Of course, if there was exactly one empty bed in the tower, you would know where they will end up.)
- — Brucker
Name Changing
Allow players to change the name of bitizens, so we can name them after our friends or celebrities just for fun.
Name Queue: Users can input names for future bitizens. Names are randomly selected, keeping the spontaneous nature of the game alive. :— Mdnghtblue, Brynnis, alyssacroacia, JezaTheWog, DuPrintemps, PlagueEleven austinmacboy, Smellinglikesophie, Sayahbfa, LadyExLibris, seasail12, ColonelKR
Customizable costumes
Have the ability to change the colors of the different costumes. Another option is to allow hats to be included in certain costumes, in the same way that facial hair becomes a part of some costumes. Though yet to be officially included as a feature, custom costumes can be achieved through modifying the game files.
Rent
Rent collected from tenants could be paid in Tower Bux rather than coins. Given that we can normally trade a Tower Bux for 1,000 or more coins, 1 TB per 10 Bitizens seems fair, and if we round down:
- 1 tenant → 0.1 TB → 0 TB
- 10 tenants → 1 TB → 1 TB
- 15 tenants → 1.5 TB → 1 TB
- 40 tenants → 4 TB → 4 TB
- 265 tenants → 26.5 TB → 26 TB
- — Aldesign, Asynchronism, Shloogorgh, ColonelKR (Actually, I'm signing this because I think having BOTH coins and Bux would make it all the more fun!)
Rent could also increase as the tower grows. Maybe start with 100 coins per day, and increase it by 50/100 coins each time the tower grows ten floors. Ex:
- 1-9 floors → 100 coins per day per bitizen
- 10-19 floors → 150(200) coins per day per bitizen
- 20-19 floors → 200(300) coins per day per bitizen, etc.
- - Jrb1189, Shloogorgh
Or it could be: 1 bitizen equals 100 coins 10 bitizens equals 1 tower buck 11 bitizens equals 1 tower buck, 100 coins... ...and so on. --Tantusar 18:40, 6 January 2012 (PST)
Skill Increase
The option to have skills increase over time while working in their job/dream job would be beneficial.
- - Williamngrhm, Sayahbfa, ColonelKR (Yes, this sounds realistic.), ChinamanII
Floors
Find Open Residential Spots
Search for on open spot in a residential because sometimes I evict somebody and forget in which floor he lived. Then I need to look through the whole tower in order to find the residentail.
Bitizens do stuff at their job
At their jobs, all bitizens do is walk around. If they added this, they would actually do stuff. Here are a few examples:
- Night club
- Person 1 mans the door
- Person 2 mans the bar
- Person 3 Manages the VIP section(Dream job instantly goes here)
- Photo Studio
- Person 1 Manages the computer
- Person 2 Holds the mirror for people
- Person 3 Takes the pictures(Dream job instantly goes here)

Lobby Employes
In the lobby, you can hire bitizens. You would not get money from this, though it does do something. It increases people in the elevator and the chance of them tipping you, would also speed up stock, the quantity of stock, and the amount of VIPs, 5% each employee. I read the suggestion above this one, and if they did move around, one would sit at the computer like a secretary, one would be near the door like a door holder, and one would talk to the other two like a boss.
Floor Names
Name resetting and Title Case encoding. These push notifications that YELL AT ME are getting old and annoying...
- — Asynchronism, Adesinacat, Theatres, Brynnis,JezaTheWog, Google4it7genius
Special characters in floor titles. Why does Nimblebit get to use & (Ship & Print) but not me? Also would like dashes.
Enable marquee-type animations for longer floor names.
Stock ETA List
It would be great to have a screen with the next items in the stocking queue, ordered by remaining time. Sometimes, for example, when I'm about to go to sleep, I want to know how much more time I should stay up for maximum stocking efficiency. Example:
- Controller (Game Store): <1 M
- Shrimp Platter (Mexican Food): 6 M
- Rocket Ship (Toy Store): 11 M
- Murder Mystery (Private Eye): 2H 20M
- and so on...
Birthday Calendar
It's really hard to keep track of birthdays with the current system, so using the same idea as the Stock ETA List you could make a list calendar of birthdays. For example:
- A Sample: Today (31 Jan)
- D Sample: Tomorrow (1 Feb)
- G Sample: 5 Days (5 Feb)
- J Sample: 14 Days (14 Feb)
- X Sample: 1 Month, 27 Days (27 Mar)
- and so on...
Underground Floors
It would be good to have floors that you can put underground. They would be called -1, -2, -3 etc... Floors like the laundromat, the recycling and others, I would like to have underground. And maybe one day if it appears on Tiny Tower, a metro. It allows more organization.
Or even U for underground followed by the floor number. A car park would be nice too. --Tantusar 18:43, 6 January 2012 (PST)
You could use the underground metro to visit your friends towers or random towers, too. --Tinyzoe13
Dream Floors
It would be exactly like a dream job except with floors. The idea is that there's a particular apartment that the bitizen wants to live in and you get bux like with the dream jobs. It also fulfils an other idea posted further up the page which is being able to move around the little guys to different apartments.
In-Game Purchases
Permanent Upgrades
I assume the author's goal is to make money.
The current "for real money" upgrades (Tower Bux only) are not inspiring for a tight wad like me, particularly at the level I'm playing at now. I'm not going to pay $30 for a floor and half.
Pocket Frogs didn't get my money for potions or stamps... they got my money for things that permanently enhanced the game (faster Mailbox specifically).
With that in mind, these are some of the things I would at least consider paying for:
- Half wait time on construction, stocking, etc.
- Permanent x2 stocking on all floors (above and beyond the x2 stocking for Dream Job)
- Auto-Pilot Elevator... except for VIPs of course
- Better and/or more frequent VIPs... particularly if I got to choose a VIP once an hour (or whatever)
- Anything that enhanced my ability to get more Tower Bux over time:
- "More Frequently Tip" or better yet "Always Tip" for taking somebody to their requested floor
- "Always get Bux" for "Fully Stocked!"
- Increase in the Bux received for "Dream Job"
As always with "real money", pricing will be the issue. Buying any of these options would have to make sense when compared with $30 for 1000 Bux.
BitBuilder
I like the bitbuilder, but wish I could actually use it to dress my bitizens. I would be willing to pay bux for every bitizen I dressed with the bitbuilder.
It would be a cool feature to create bitizens and then they can visit your tower, or even have them move in.
Ability to color glasses using bitbuilder. -Reventon21
I agree. Not only would it be a fun, extra, customizable feature -- but it could make the missions easier. 121212b
Landlord Bitizen
It would be cool to be able to make a bitizen you can customize and he would have his own floor and act as your avatar.
- -ThePolidori13, Morayobb, ColonelKR (Then I can actually BE in the Colonel's Office, which is what I renamed my Security Office because it looked control room-esque)

Wake BitBook
Lately my bitizens haven't been posting on BitBook even a good 5 minutes after I launch the app. There should be a setting than you can toggle that wakes BitBook when you launch the app.
- — Sundae
Floor-specific messaging
- I want to know if someone dropped the pizza dough, when someone's working on a bottom bracket in the bike shop, that it's really freaking hot in the glass studio, or that fish are flopping around in the kitchen of that sushi place. The creative aspects of the bitbook are very much underutilized without this. LpAngelRob 12:47, 28 December 2011 (PST), Reventon21
Bitbook Post Storyline
- I heard about the dude going on a date with the fortune teller person, and I want to know what happened! Like, a certain storyline post could randomly lead to multiple locked 'special' posts that would only come about after the first post had activated it, so you could have like stories and things going on. This would add infinitely more depth to the Bitbook, whereas now all the posts are random and there is really nothing happening. - Reventon21, Maxatron10 Atljl
Avoid Bitbook Repeats
- Sometimes when I get on and all my shops are closed I will have like 12 post that will all be the same and it's really annoying. -Reventon21

Free Costumes
Whenever a Bitizen moves into you tower wearing a costume, you should unlock that costume for all bitizens to wear at no cost 121212b
Floor Costumes
I organize my bitzens by costume. The floors they work at are assigned a costume - like the fast food costume for Sky Burger. But some of the floors just don't have any costumes that match. I'd like a kind of costume that obviously fits for each kind of floor - like the pottery studio could have a costume called a Potter, which could be an apron with smudges of clay-color on it and on the face.- LadyExLibris Atljl
Other
- The music is wonderfully complementary to the game, but there's only three tracks! I wouldn't mind a few more. Any sort of elevator music will do. LpAngelRob 11:18, 28 December 2011 (PST) --VonGod 09:15, 13 January 2012 (PST), ColonelKR (Bring on some Kenny G! Notice my sarcasm.), Reventon21
- A more diverse set of names for the Bitizens (if we aren't allowed to rename them). All of the names seem to be coming from a European and Hispanic name set right now, and it would be nice to see some Asian names, for example. Miru 11:58, 13 January 2012 (PST) ChinamanII
Why not add a few floor-specific minigames? You could get coins or bux for completing them. Tantusar
New Towers
While playing the game, it would be interesting to be able to switch over to another tower. So that you still have things to do. This could be introduced into the game as another buying mechanic, as in, in order to get said new tower, you need to buy it. Bux, gold/cash, whichever.
That said, you may beable to run multiple businesses, or towers alongside your main one.
On top of that, in addition to towers, perhaps other things could be created to have something to do on the side aswell. Other types of businesses to run, etc. [Even in a mini-game state, if preferred] --VonGod 09:15, 13 January 2012 (PST)
It would be cool if Bitizens going home from work could call the elevator to their job floor and request to go to their home floor and vice versa. Joshua Chopsticks
Simple API
It would be great if there were a simple game API that this wiki could plug in to. Just link we can link to our an online view of our towers, just by plugging in our tower URL or some other variable, we'd be able to have an automatically updating profile stat page. How many floors, dream jobs, all of that can automatically be determined on the back end, without users having to edit their pages. Actually, all of that information might be able to be cleverly pulled from the js file (for example mine: http://towershare.s3.amazonaws.com/179195779.js ) which should contain all the needed information to build the page that displays the tower. Joshua Chopsticks, LadyExLibris
More Than Just 3 Jobs
I have four people with dream jobs for the Karaoke Club and the Dentists office... I think that there should be a upgrade where you can more than just three available job positions.
Windows
It would be nice if there were ANY windows on the inside of the tower! I mean come on, but really? Is it really that hard to draw a square in the tower? It's simple enough!
Missions
How about dimming missions we don't have the proper floors for? Better yet, add a "Not Available" tab. Last Call Again
